It’s not bareback

For advocates of condom use, own it. Why pretend it's bareback when it is not.

This was the photo [gallery] used by Video Boys for the preview video of their latest scene with Sonny Stewart and Marco Gagnon. It looked bareback.

But, it was not. If you play the preview video, the condom was clearly seen.

Video Boys should take a cue from Randy Blue. Their latest scene with Lance Alexander and Jack Andrews [gallery] clearly showed the condom.

  1. I’m an advocate of condoms in porn. What exactly am I supposed to ‘own’? I dont advocate porn companies showing safe sex while enticing viewers with subterfuge implying bareback. What are you on about?
Bareback advocates are selfish, and this blog is getting terrible. I came here originally because it was a blog compiling together a pornstars work under their various pseudonyms. Its not that any more. Its another stupid cheer squad for bareback sex. Condoms are for safety, thats it. Bareback, whats that for? your own hedonism, thats it.
Bareback advocates don’t ‘own’ the fact that bareback sex is everywhere now, as it is in porn, and HIV is on the rise, after falling for two decades. They don’t ‘own’ the fact that young gay men get their sex education from porn, and this education influences their decisions. They don’t ‘own’ the fact that whenever a pornstar gets HIV from sex, they got it when not wearing a condom.
What do bareback advocates ‘own’, apart from their own hedonism?

  2. I admit my writing skills is not that good. It seemed like I was referring to all advocates of condom use but I was only referring to porn studios who alter photos to make it look bareback.
I do posts anything that I find interesting, one of them is the changing of names of porn stars.

  3. Oh get the fuck over yourself. So now porn is responsible for HIV education? Maybe the porn studios can get a government grant. There are a myriad of ways today to protect yourself from HIV… condoms are one option, they aren’t the be all and end all, and they aren’t 100%. I guess the reason we have increased shootings is the violence in movies… maybe now we’ll get more zombies since that seems the rage now. If you want to wear a condom fine, but don’t say it’s impossible to be HIV- if you bareback. I get tested regularly, am responsible and HIV-. You drone on about how everyone who barebacks is evil, irresponsible and hiv ridden. It simply isn’t true. What is true is people hate condoms and they are tuning you out because you come across as crazed zealots, calling people names, trying to impose your faux morality on others? Hedonism? I’ve got news for you, some people do actually have sex for pleasure. The message that too much pleasure is somehow immoral, bad or dangerous is just ridiculous. What is selfish is continuing with your fanatical “it’s condoms or the highway” messaging. IT ISN’T WORKING – PEOPLE ARE TUNING YOU OUT. So you have a decision, you can try to educate people on ways to stay safe, which can include condom usage or you can’t continue to just throw temper tantrums and rant about how it’s horrible people have sex for pleasure, and anyone who doesn’t use a condom is evil.

  4. Your writing skills are fine. The problem is HeathKarl and his ilk. They come on this blog and just rant, rave and call people names. They’re just trolls. Keep up the good work.

  5. Well said Rudolfo. The really issue with all these condom Zealots has nothing to do with safe sex or condoms it comes down to free choice. They can’t deal with people that have a different perspective on the issue or decide to have responsible sex there own way.

  6. Denz, I totally get what you’re saying about the way this scene is marketed. When I initially saw this photo I thought the scene was bareback and the wording “no ordinary fuck” made me think that this was the first bareback scene released by Videoboys. Because Sonny and Marco are a real-life couple, this gave further indication that the scene was bareback, but it wasn’t until I browsed through the video captures that I noticed the condom.
I am a fan of bareback porn, but if someone or a studio wants to use condoms, I’m fine with that, but it doesn’t interest me. The issue with this photo is that the studio tried to make the scene look bareback, when it wasn’t. This photo does not replicate the actual sex that took place in the video, which gives a false impression that the scene is bareback when it’s not, and this is the valid point you are making. I think it’s important for issues like this to be raised and discussed, so thank you everything you do here at Men of Porn, it’s greatly appreciated. 🙂
