  1. Seems like a bolt out of the blue… or does it? I would guess that the owners of onlyfans have decided to sell and some consultant told them to ditch the “adult stuff” to make them more appealing to mainstream buyers. The credit issuers having an “issue” doesn’t seem to be affecting all the current porn sites, so I call BS on that reason.

    1. There was a documentary on sex workers on OF in 2020 (Griffin Barrows was on it), and there was a segment that essentially telegraphed this, basically reinforcing that since celebrities got on OF and have been using it in a nonsexual way, the owners have really focused their energies there (not to mention potential lawsuits and unwanted attention from sex workers). So, this was a plodding, but eventual, move.

All to say, if you were looking, you saw it coming

    2. Agree. I think the company is going public (a public offering of shares in the company) so the English family that founded OF can cash in and then back away so they can be acceptable to “polite society” in England.

  2. Oh my…

They really want to kill their own business, don’t they? It makes no sense!

The whole ‘OnlyFans’ brand is already associated with porn, no matter what they do this will always be the case. The only thing they’ll achieve is to become Tumblr 2.0: irrelevant and forgotten.

Payment processor drama? A very hard story to buy.
Don’t these companies already have deals with mainstream porn studios? Did they just now decided to grow a conscience or something?

Also, I noticed that several known performers (Dante Colle, Colby Jansen and the very Mr. Wolf here) have launched XVideos accounts recently, many of which didn’t have a very active presence in the platform until now. Did PornHub have another DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING moment or I missed something?

  3. People really don’t read. They did not say they were getting rid of porn, just doing some housekeeping. I think it’s great. I’m tired of seeing weirdos masturbating while at the fast food drive-thru, having sex in cemeteries, and other gross things I will not mention.

  4. Oh, wow…OnlyFans is ONLY for sex! That’s its sole purpose, so that’s it even planning to do? If it was closing, I could understand, but NO ONE is going to pay just to see risque photos suitable for Twitter and Instagram for a monthly fee. And this is really going to be a blow for a lot of people who live off of those monthly subscriptions. I know there’s JFF, but isn’t that poxy and run by that mad gay porn star?

  5. Just4fans is good I subscribed to several male porn models in the past. It is just as good as only fans. The sad thing about only fans is sex workers lose their audience. Some models I understand their anger that Just4fans takes 30 percent of their income. That is a lot. But just4fans is well known second to only fans. I hope just4fans be a bit more fair to sex workers.

  6. I am curious – this might be a retarded question and I would apologize if this seems obvious.
OK, if someone fucks another person or anything involving penetration – this clearly is sexually explicit.
How about if a guy standing up NAKED with HARDON? Would this considered just NUDITY or can it be sexually explicit?

    1. It’s actually a good question. It counts on what mechanism they are going by. If they use, for example, the MPAA rating system as a guideline, a naked penis would be nudity, but an erect (or semi erect) penis would be interpreted as “lewd” and meet the qualifications of sexually explicit (thus garnering an NC-17 or X rating).

If you use the old Supreme Court adage (with the obscenity case from about 50 years ago) it becomes more…murky, because people interpret obscenity/sexually explicit as “I know it when I see it”. (Technically it’s supposed to go on ‘community standards’ but a business can be interpreted as a ‘commmunity’ so….yeah…)

    1. Yes. But they were probably also shitting themselves over an upcoming BBC News exposé that showed they weren’t doing a good job moderating legit violations and illegal activity (culled from a report from The Verge):

‘OnlyFans’ inexplicable ban on porn might be explained by this BBC investigation.

While OnlyFans told the BBC that the leaked “compliance manuals” it obtained are not “official guidance,” the news organization is quick to point out that one of them has the company’s chief operating officer listed as making edits to the document.

The BBC’s investigation doesn’t end there: it also scoured the site for illegal content, watched videos about exploiting homeless people, spoke to some of OnlyFans’ moderators itself, quoted a US Homeland Security agent about how many child abuse images originate there, and tested to see if OnlyFans would notice if it set up accounts advertising themselves as young teenagers with photos for sale. (OnlyFans didn’t, until the BBC pointed it out.)’

  7. You are an utter moron if you compare this to the Afghanistan issue.

    Just shut the fuck up

    1. I only ever seen these OnlyFans gay men travel consistently for “work and collabs”. No, they were vacationing and hooking up under the guise of filming. Onlyfans really blew up once the ones kept showing off making millions and six figures. So naturally all those IG and Twitter gay guys thought they could get rich quick by essentially doing nothing and posting videos of orgies, foursomes, threesomes, and all these muscle guys essentially bragging to their audience. Now the fun is over. Back to retail and back to being that hot jock pass around whore on Grindr.

And let’s not even start with those straight gym bros scamming consumers with their content and locking things behind paywalls for ridiculous amounts of money.

None of this was bound to be sustainable in the long run.

  8. Boofuckinghoo go jack off on another po4n site, I’m glad these attention whores are not being glamorized anymore.
